Hi there, and welcome to Married by Jay.
I'm your celebrant, MC, or both — whichever you choose — and my job is to make your ceremony and reception feel effortless. Think of me as the thread that ties your day together: the ceremony, the room, the people, all moving as one.
Your ceremony shouldn't be something you get through. It should feel relaxed, honest, full of laughter, and unmistakably yours.
No dead air. No awkward silences. And if a guest reaches for their phone mid-vows, my Meta glasses will catch it — and they'll be shouting the bar tab.
If I'm your MC as well, I stay well past "I do" — keeping the night on track and the energy exactly where it should be, so you get to actually be in your wedding, not managing it.
Because your day deserves more than a celebrant. It deserves someone who makes the whole thing feel like you.
A wedding everyone remembers the day as soon as they hear your names.

I bring a fun, quirky, romantic side to every ceremony. I'm creative and genuinely passionate about what I do — and that shows up as a realness in "that moment."
I want your guests to feel like you were just married by a long-time friend, not a stranger reading a script. No two ceremonies are the same, because no two couples are — yours is written bespoke, just for you.

This day is about two people in love, sharing a magic moment surrounded by the people who matter most.
To make sure everything flows perfectly, I arrive early — I check on you both, check the space, meet and greet your guests, and make sure everyone's settled and ready for an amazing ceremony.

I like to give you the world.
Your own online portal holds everything you need — the legal paperwork, your ceremony questionnaire, and heaps of hints, tips and checklists to keep you on track.
There's even a vow-writing booklet in there to help you get started on one of my favourite parts of the whole day.

No matter the ceremony style, my BOSE S1 sound system comes with me — because your vows deserve to be heard clearly, right to the back row.
Bluetooth music, a video line-out for your videographer, and wireless mics for you both. I've even got a backpack rig for the couples who want to say "I do" up a mountain.

I wear Meta glasses during your ceremony to capture the moments you miss — walking down the aisle, your vows, the kiss, your guests' reactions, and everything in between.
Why? Because you miss more of your own wedding than you'd think. This way, you get to see it too.

Look, I love technology, but iPads are so 2019.
I print your ceremony into a beautiful keepsake children's book — something I read from on the day, and something you keep forever after. Prefer something simpler? A printed copy from my folder works just as well.
